Meet the team behind each of the Programs, Project and Activities that United Peruvian Youth develop. Being a volunteer at UPY gives you an opportunity to be a member of the Board.
Larissa Cevallos Co-founder, Executive Director & of Social Programs
Degree in International Relations from the San Ignacio de Loyola University. Specialist in International Cooperation for Development by the Academy of Diplomats of Peru Foundation and in International Security and Strategic Studies by the University of Chile. She has published articles and completed her thesis on International Security and Middle Eastern Affairs. She has been a Peruvian Youth Ambassador at The Youth Assembly and has participated as both speaker and delegate in different conferences as The Youth SDG Summit, Rotary Club Ica, Red Interquorum La Libertad and the Youth Forum of the ECOSOC. At UPY, she is the co-founder, Executive Director and Social Program Director. She has created the Project Hub and developed the 03 UPY Programs during her current months as an Executive Director. Her experience in designing and supervising projects of great social scope, allows her to teach the Social Design Course at UPY as well as lead the Project Hub. Currently, she works as an specialist of technical cooperation.
Kathleen Carbajal
Educational Programs Director
Bachelor of International Relations from San Ignacio de Loyola University and internationally certified as ESL Teacher by Cambridge. She has a specialized diploma in Gender Policies and Public Management. In addition, she has training studies on Public Policies with an Intercultural Approach by the School of Government and Public Policies of the PUCP. She was a Peruvian delegate at APEC 2015 in Manila Philippines, and at The Youth Assembly 2019 in Washington D.C. She was also a member of APEC's Voices of the Future committee in 2016. Currently, she is conducting research on US immigration policy and working at a NGO teaching refugee women. At United Peruvian Youth, she is the Educational Programs Director since January 2021.
Bachelor of Biology from the La Molina National Agrarian University. Currently, she works at the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation - INIA in the development of technology for gene editing for the improvement of potato cultivation through the Crispr / cas9 tool (project 172_PI). She is an Ambassador for Thought For Food - an international organization that seeks to support young people with innovative ideas in the food industry and agriculture sectors. In addition, it is a Partner of MaCTec Peru, an organization that provides quality science workshops to girls from 8 to 11 years old. MaCTec was awarded by UNESCO for the Education of Women and Girls in the year 2017. She is our Talent Management Director since January 2021.

Brigitte Hidalgo
Institutional Imagine & Marketing Director
Brigitte Hidalgo Soriano is a student of Psychology at the Antenor Orrego Private University in Trujillo, Peru. She was a Peruvian delegate with a scholarship at The Youth Assembly 2020. She participated in MCW Global 2020 Young Leaders Conference - Peru Virtual Edition. During 2020, she served as Deputy Director of Marketing for United Peruvian Youth. She is co-founder of Psicología y Café, an Instagram page created with the purpose of promoting mental health and providing a safe space in which people can express themselves. She is a volunteer in an organization that aims to reduce educational inequality gaps through the teaching of the English language. Currently, she is a Project Management Intern at the World Alliance Latin America. She is our Institutional Imagine & Marketing Director since January 2021.
Bachelor in International Relations from San Ignacio de Loyola University, with certifications in Results Based Project Management from the Inter-American Development Bank and Public Management with Intercultural Approach from the National School of Public Administration. She did pre-professional internships in the public sector for 18 months and is currently an international intern at the Ibero-American Center for International Studies Foundation. She was part of volunteer activities at the 131st Session of the International Olympic Committee and the VIII Summit of the Americas. In 2018 she received a scholarship to represent her university in the BAP Union expedition in Cartagena de Indias as "USIL Ambassador". In Juventud Peruana Unida, she is the leader of the editorial area of the Working Group. Planeta. She is our Director of Inter-institutional Cooperation since August 2021.

Paola Vasquez
Operational manager
Economist engineer from the National University of Engineering, with experience in the public sector in banking regulation and supervision, and in the international private sector in credit risk auditing and models. He has passed level I of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) international certification and level I of the CIA (Certified Internal Auditor). A member of UPY since 2020, he was the leader of the writing area of the Prosperity Working Group and is part of Project Hub with the project "Learning to Segregate".
