OUR WORK
UPY Programs
The UPY Programs respond to our mission of empowering Peruvian young men and women to contribute to SDG4, in particular to two specific goals of the same:
Target 4.4: By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have the necessary skills to access decent work and entrepreneurship.
Target 4.7: By 2030, ensure that all students acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to promote sustainable development, through education for sustainable development and the adoption of sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, the promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, world citizenship and the appreciation of cultural diversity.
In this way, the 3 UPY programs group our 4 projects.
Work areas
Our projects and activities are aligned to 3 thematic areas related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations in 2015.
The People & Peace area seeks to promote research and actions on issues related to SDG 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 16 and 17; in addition to improving skills, knowledge and opportunities for all people of any race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual identity or religion. Likewise, it seeks to generate knowledge and promote discussion on issues related to the national and international situation.
The Prosperity area seeks to promote economic growth and well-being and encourage research and development of new technologies and services; through activities that promote financial inclusion and education, research and participation in social impact initiatives based on SDGs 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
The Planeta area aims to implement, reflect and promote measures, information and practices related to environmental preservation, through research, sharing knowledge and sustainable initiatives. SDG 6, 7, 13, 14 and 15 are being worked on.
